Fire Crews Rescue Three Teens Stuck in Mud at Gosport

Firefighters were kept busy this Easter Monday after three teenagers got stuck in mud at Gosport. The drama unfolded just after 4.20pm at Haslar Bridge, sparking a swift rescue mission.

Trapped in Mud After Boat Gets Lodged

A 16-year-old girl and two 14-year-old boys became stranded when their boat got stuck in the mud. A specialist water rescue team from Fareham was quickly dispatched to pull the teens to safety.

Rescue Operation in Full Swing

The Fareham water rescue crew managed to free the boat from the sandbar by 5.30pm, bringing relief to the stranded trio. Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service were on hand to check the teenagers over, though it’s unclear if anyone needed hospital treatment.

Support from Gosport Fire Crew and Coastguard

Additional help came from a Gosport fire crew and a coastguard based at Hillhead, who joined the rescue effort to ensure the teens were safely brought back to dry land.
