Isle of Wight residents make claim of body find
A number of residents who live in Gurnard on the Isle of Wight have made claim that a person or body was found or has been discovered on the beach in the town. Concerned residents contacted the Police on Saturday afternoon following the discovery. A number of officers from Hampshire Constabulary attended just after 2pm near to the Gurnard sailing club. One resident who asked not be named said that a person was found on the beach and witnessed officers walking down the path to the beach. It is still currently unclear if the find was in fact a body. No cordon was put in place nor was an ambulance called to the incident. Hampshire Constabulary have been approached for comment and are expected to issues a Statement later.
