Murder Probe Underway After Two Women Found Dead in Canning Town
A shocking double death has sparked a murder investigation in Canning Town. Police were called to Vandome Close at 11:45am on Friday, 26 April after concerns were raised for a resident’s welfare.
Officers broke into the property and discovered two female bodies inside. Formal identification and next of kin notifications are ongoing, with post-mortem exams planned.
No Arrests Yet as Homicide Squad Leads Inquiry
The Homicide and Major Crime Command is spearheading the investigation. So far, no arrests have been made, but enquiries are continuing.
Detective Chief Superintendent Richard Tucker of North-East Command Unit said: “The launch of any murder investigation is naturally of concern to the local community. Borough officers are working alongside homicide detectives to uncover the full story.”

A crime scene is in place at Vandome Close. Police urge anyone with information to come forward.
