Breaking: Duchess of Sussex Goes Into Labour!
The Duchess of Sussex has gone into labour with her first child, sparking excitement after weeks of royal baby speculation.
From Announcement to Arrival
The pregnancy was revealed in October during the Sussexes’ first major tour of Australia and New Zealand. They expected baby to arrive in spring. Back in January, Meghan told a crowd in Birkenhead that the little royal was due in April.
Where’s Meghan? The Birth Location Mystery
It’s still unclear if Meghan is at home or at Frimley Park Hospital. The birth is a week overdue. An ambulance was spotted near their royal residence this week but turned out to be a false alarm.
Official Statement and Joyful News
Meghan went into labour in the early hours of Monday. A statement from the couple said they are “very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the UK and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.”
They added they will keep details private until they have had “an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
Update: Baby Sussex Has Arrived!
The Duchess has given birth to a baby boy weighing 7lbs 3oz. Both mother and child are reportedly doing well.
