Two arrested after Street robbery

Witness appeal after festival ticket and other items stolen in Ashford robbery Witnesses are being sought after a teenager trying to sell a festival ticket was robbed in an Ashford park. It was reported that between 10.25am and midday on 25 June 2019 a teenage boy had arranged to meet two people to sell the ticket and was then assaulted while in Victoria Park in Jemmett Road. He was also reportedly threatened with a knife during the incident, and the festival ticket, as well as his bank cards, bus pass, cash, air bud headphones and a red iPhone were stolen. An 18-year-old man from Ashford and a 17-year-old boy from Canterbury were arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on bail while enquiries are ongoing. Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident. In particular officers would like to speak to a woman who was heard to shout for help during the incident, and a man who came forward and offered money and assistance to the victim to help him get safely home.
