Blaze Breaks Out in Bloomsbury Flat

Five fire engines and around 35 firefighters rushed to tackle a fire in a ground-floor flat on Woburn Place, Bloomsbury.

Heroic Rescue Amid Flames

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters rescued a man trapped inside the one-room flat. He received treatment at the scene from Ambulance Service crews before being rushed to hospital.

Swift Response Brings Fire Under Control

The Brigade was alerted at 17:19 and had the blaze under control by 18:29. Fire crews from Euston, Soho, Islington, and Kentish Town stations tackled the flames.

Cause of Fire Unknown

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire, with damage confined to part of the flat.
