Murder Probe After Man Killed by Rock-Throwing Yobs at Kent Castle

A murder investigation is underway after a man was fatally attacked by yobs hurling rocks while he took an evening stroll at Lullingstone Castle, a quiet spot in a sleepy Kent village.

Police Lockdown with Armed Officers and Dogs

Armed police and sniffer dogs have sealed off the area surrounding the historic manor. A police helicopter has been circling overhead as Kent Police guard nearby roads, turning the peaceful village into a lockdown zone.

A body, covered with a white sheet, lies near the castle entrance — a grim reminder of the night’s horror.

Witnesses Report Dramatic Police Response

One shocked homeowner said: “I saw armed officers in the area, and others searching the fields close to the manor. One officer stood guard by the police cordon.”

Two armed officers reportedly tried CPR on the victim, but sadly, it was too late. An ambulance arrived as more uniformed and plain-clothes officers flooded the scene.

A local woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I came outside to see armed police running up the road. They told me it’s now a crime scene. Nothing like this has happened in the five years I’ve lived here.”
