Authorities in Broxburn are urging the public to come forward with any information regarding a recent incident in which a parked black Audi was deliberately set ablaze in the Curran Crescent area. The incident occurred at approximately 00.35 BST on Saturday, August 5, resulting in extensive damage not only to the targeted vehicle but also to neighbouring cars.

Though no individuals sustained injuries in the incident, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were swiftly dispatched to extinguish the flames, which had consumed the Audi and threatened nearby vehicles.

He emphasised that cooperation from the community is pivotal in resolving the incident and preventing further harm.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or who may have private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist with our enquiries to get in touch,” Detective Constable Morran stated.

Those who possess any potentially relevant information are encouraged to contact Police Scotland at 101, referencing incident number 0191 from August 5, 2023. Individuals can also share information anonymously by reaching out to the charity Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
