Shocking Attack on Cars from Footbridge Leaves Multiple Vehicles Damaged
Chaos erupted around 7pm on Tuesday, 13 December 2022, at the Crab and Winkle footpath bridge. Several cars parked below were hit by objects hurled from above. One vehicle’s panoramic sunroof was shattered, while another suffered a dented bonnet.
Police Warn of Dangers, Appeal for Witnesses
Sergeant Stephen Wells slammed the reckless act: “Throwing items from heights towards oncoming vehicles is extremely dangerous. It’s sheer luck no one was seriously hurt tonight.”
Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the culprits responsible. Sergeant Wells urged anyone with info or dashcam footage to come forward and aid the probe.
