Police Praise Community After Conviction

Duffy was hauled in on January 5, and Salkeld followed two days later. Both men faced charges of affray and attempted grievous bodily harm on January 9.

“Salkeld and Duffy showed no remorse as they brutally attacked their victim in broad daylight on a residential street in front of witnesses,” said Detective Inspector Anna Hackett.

“This violent attack shook our community. I thank the residents who helped police with the investigation. This conviction sends a clear message: Merseyside won’t tolerate street violence.”
