Massive Blaze Tears Through St John’s Wood Church

Twelve fire engines and around 80 firefighters rushed to tackle a fierce blaze engulfing a two-storey church on Hamilton Terrace, St John’s Wood.

The entire building is alight, prompting police to evacuate several nearby properties as flames and smoke billowed aggressively.

Emergency Services Battling the Inferno

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson revealed the fire was reported at 11:46pm on Thursday, 26 January:

“We dispatched multiple resources to Hamilton Terrace, NW8, including an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car, and our hazardous area response team.”

“The incident is ongoing. We are working closely with other emergency services.”
