Appeal For Witnesses In Bromley Murder Investigation At Jubilee Country Park

Detectives investigating a tragic murder that occurred in Jubilee Country Park, Bromley, are continuing their appeal for witnesses and crucial information as they work diligently to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The investigation was launched after a distressing call was made to the London Ambulance Service at approximately 14:30 on Wednesday, September 20. The call reported a man who had been stabbed in Jubilee Country Park, located near Tent Peg Lane in Petts Wood. Responding to the emergency, officers from the London Metropolitan Police, as well as the Kent Air Ambulance, quickly arrived at the scene.

Despite the valiant efforts of emergency responders, the life of a 19-year-old man was tragically lost on that fateful day. While his next of kin have been informed, formal identification is still pending.

A post-mortem examination conducted on September 22 revealed the cause of death to be a stab wound to the heart, shedding light on the severity of the incident.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command have assumed responsibility for the investigation, and Detective Chief Inspector Laura Semple leads the team. She urged the public to come forward with any information that could aid in piecing together the events leading to this devastating loss of life.

Detective Chief Inspector Semple stated, “This investigation continues at pace, and we are making progress in piecing together the events that led to this young man losing his life. However, we need the help of the public. I would ask anyone who was in the park area and who saw the events leading up to this attack to come forward and speak to police. I am especially keen to hear from people who may have captured events on camera or taken images that could assist our work. There is a dedicated online portal where footage and pictures can be uploaded.”
