Dingwall’s Road Policing Officers are urging the public for information following a severe road crash on the A9 near Dunrobin, by Golspie on Saturday, 30September. The incident unfolded around 10.00 and involved a Peugeot 2008 and a Kawasaki motorbike.
Emergency services, including police and ambulance, promptly responded to the scene. The 49-year-old male motorbike rider sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. Meanwhile, the 58-year-old driver of the Peugeot emerged unscathed but was subsequently arrested in connection with a suspected road traffic offence.
The A9 was temporarily closed for investigations and reopened around 5 pm. Sergeant Calum MacAulay emphasised the ongoing efforts to understand the crash’s full circumstances. He urged witnesses or anyone with information to come forward, especially those possessing dash-cam footage that could aid the investigation.
