Israel Launches Strikes on Rafah as Ceasefire Talks Stall
Israeli forces have kicked off airstrikes in the Gaza city of Rafah after greenlighting a military operation. The move came just hours after Hamas claimed to accept an Egyptian-Qatari ceasefire deal.
Mass Evacuations Ordered in Rafah
The Israeli military is telling around 100,000 Palestinians to leave eastern Rafah immediately. Civilians are being pushed towards an “expanded humanitarian area” in Khan Younis and al-Mawasi as the army prepares for what it calls a “limited” operation.
‘Limited Scope’ Operation or Start of a Larger Offensive?
