Murder Investigation Launched After Young Man Shot Dead in Ealing

A shocking murder investigation is underway after 20-year-old Sebastiaan James-Kraan was fatally shot in Ealing. Sebastiaan was found with life-threatening gunshot wounds on Templeman Road in the early hours of Sunday, June 9. Despite emergency medical treatment, he sadly died three days later on Wednesday, June 12.

Police Probe Shooting and Seek Witnesses

Homicide detectives are leading the probe, focusing on the events that led to the shooting. Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley said: “We believe Sebastiaan was involved in an altercation with a group of men, which resulted in him being shot once.”

Police are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything around Templeman Road at 2am on June 9 to come forward immediately.

Chief Superintendent Sean Wilson acknowledged rising concerns about gun crime in the Ealing area. He expressed sympathy for Sebastiaan’s family and assured the public that officers are fully committed to solving this murder.

“Sebastiaan was cruelly taken away from his family at such a young age. He was a kind, loving, gentle man with a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Please respect our privacy as we grieve,” the family said in a heartfelt statement.
