H.J Burt, the estate agents handling the sale, revealed grim details in their brochure. They say the southern part of the land was used for dumping waste, triggering a 2019 enforcement enquiry by Horsham District Council over unauthorised developments and land alterations.
“An Investigation report in July 2024 shows a low to moderate risk from materials on site,” H.J Burt warned. “Buyers should be vigilant during inspections, especially near open water areas and the disused swimming pool.”
The Mansion: A Grand Fixer-Upper
The property boasts nine bedrooms, three reception rooms, four bath/shower rooms across three floors, plus a one-bedroom annexe. The listing highlights potential to refurbish and restore features like the tennis court and pool to create a stunning family home amid mature grounds.

Katie Price was evicted in May after declaring bankruptcy for the second time in March due to unpaid taxes. The £2 million home in Horsham, West Sussex, was bought in 2014 but plagued by problems: break-ins, structural faults, and even ghost sightings.
