Man Rescued from East London Water After Frantic Emergency Call

Emergency crews sprang into action on Tuesday evening at Twelvetrees Crescent, East London, after reports of a man spotted in the water.

Fire Brigade and First Responders Join Forces

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was alerted at 7:37 PM and quickly deployed fire crews from Poplar, Plaistow, East Greenwich, East Ham, and Bethnal Green. After a swift operation, they brought the man to safety by 9:38 PM.

“We were called to Twelvetrees Crescent to reports of a person in the water. Crews rescued one man who was later taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service,” an LFB spokesperson confirmed.

Rapid Ambulance Response with Specialist Teams

The London Ambulance Service (LAS) received the emergency call at 7:28 PM and sent out a Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), Tactical Response Unit, and an incident response officer. First responders arrived in under five minutes.

“Our crews treated a man at the scene before rushing him to a London major trauma centre as a priority,” said an LAS spokesperson.

The man’s current condition remains undisclosed as investigations and care continue.
