Two Men Nabbed After £2,000 Tool Heist in Royal Wootton Bassett
Quick police work led to the arrest of two men caught red-handed stealing £2,000 worth of tools from a van on Washbourne Road.
Chase Ends in Hay Lane as Suspects Busted
The crime was reported at 11:45 a.m. on November 8. Just 25 minutes later, cops had the suspects in custody after spotting a black Mazda 3 described by the van owner. Roads Policing officers stopped the car in Hay Lane, swindon/" title="Swindon" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Swindon. One suspect tried to flee on foot but was nabbed fast, while the other stayed put by the vehicle.
Suspects Held on Multiple Charges
- Men aged 27 and 61 arrested for theft from a motor vehicle
- 27-year-old also charged with driving without a licence and insurance
- Countless stolen tools recovered from the Mazda
