Search Enters Sixth Day for Missing Pensioner Patrick Williams
Volunteers, police, and rescue teams are still hunting for 85-year-old Patrick Williams, missing since Christmas Eve. A fresh photo has been released to boost the search efforts.
Last Seen Near Sheerness Church on Christmas Eve
Mr. Williams was last spotted at 10:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve heading to midnight mass at the Roman Catholic Church on Marine Parade, Sheerness. CCTV from the Isle of Sheppey Sailing Club and a private camera caught him walking towards Minster around 11 p.m.
Clothes Found on Beach, Search Intensifies
- Some of Patrick’s clothes were discovered on a bench by the beach.
- No other clues or sightings have been reported so far.
- Police were alerted at 9:55 a.m. on Christmas Day and quickly launched a public appeal.
Locals have banded together, forming search parties and using drones to scan the area. RNLI Sheerness crews and Sheppey Coastguard teams are combing the coastline, while volunteers plaster posters across the Isle of Sheppey.

A Facebook group called Missing Have You Seen Patrick? set up by Carly Ellis has over 1,000 members. It coordinates search efforts, shares timelines, maps sightings, and highlights areas yet to be scoured.

The family urges anyone with information on Patrick’s whereabouts since 10:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve to contact police immediately. “We are all praying for his safe return,” they added.
