When police tried to pull over the suspect, he ignored commands and sped off. At one point, he drove against traffic on the busy A2, endangering countless motorists. Quick-thinking officers made tactical contact to halt the vehicle and prevent a catastrophe.
Suspect Arrested for Drugs and Vehicle Theft
The male driver was arrested on the spot. He faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to supply Class C drugs. He remains in police custody as detectives dig deeper into the case.

“This was an extremely high-risk situation, but thanks to the decisive actions of our officers, a serious incident was averted. Their quick thinking and bravery ensured that no innocent road users were harmed,” said a Met spokesperson.
