Havering Police Respond to Social Media Concerns Over Alleged Kidnap Attempt

Police in Havering have reassured the public after concerns circulated on social media about an alleged attempted kidnapping in the Collier Row and Rise Park areas last night.

Authorities have confirmed that, at this early stage of their investigation, there is no evidence of an attempted kidnap and that there is no wider risk to the local community.

Police Urge Against Speculation

In a statement, the Met Police said:

“We are aware there is concern on social media in the Collier Row and Rise Park areas that a man attempted to kidnap a woman last night.”

“In this early stage of our investigation, we can confirm that there has been no attempted kidnap of a woman. We do not believe there is any wider risk to the local community.”

“Whilst our team investigate all the circumstances, we ask that you do not speculate.”

Appeal for Information

Despite ruling out an attempted abduction, officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the reports.
