Buckingham Palace has revealed that His Majesty the King had to postpone several official engagements due to temporary side effects from his ongoing cancer treatment.
King Hospitalised After Scheduled Treatment
In a statement issued by Royal Communications this evening, the Palace confirmed the King underwent planned medical treatment earlier today. Following the procedure, he stayed in hospital for a short period of observation.
This unexpected hospital stay forced the cancellation of his afternoon events. Additionally, the King’s diary for tomorrow has been rescheduled as a precaution, based on medical advice.
“His Majesty has now returned to Clarence House,” the statement read. “As a precautionary measure, acting on medical advice, tomorrow’s diary programme will also be rescheduled.”
King Sends Apologies
The Palace expressed the King’s apologies to anyone inconvenienced or disappointed by the changes.
This update follows earlier announcements that the King is undergoing ongoing treatment for cancer. However, the exact type of cancer remains undisclosed.
Royal Health Under Scrutiny
The monarch’s health has been under intense public and media watch since his diagnosis was first revealed earlier this year. Royal insiders insist the King is in good spirits and strictly following his medical team’s advice.
Official duties will restart once His Majesty gets the green light to return.
