West Midlands Police have issued an urgent appeal for information after a 72-year-old woman named Deirdre was reported missing from Walsall on Friday morning.
Deirdre was last seen at 8:15am on Friday, 18 April 2025, and there is now extreme concern for her welfare. She was last spotted in the Walsall area, wearing a navy coat and a long black skirt.
A missing persons poster, released by the Missing Persons Team (MPT) in collaboration with West Midlands Police, has been widely circulated in the community and on social media. Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Deirdre or who may have information about her whereabouts to come forward immediately.

- Call 999 immediately with any sightings.
- Alternatively, contact West Midlands Police on 101 quoting log 1614 of 18/04/25.
- You can also report anonymously via Crimestoppers or speak to a police officer in person if you see someone matching Deirdre’s description.
A spokesperson from West Midlands Police said:
“We are extremely concerned for Deirdre’s welfare and are doing everything we can to locate her safely. Please check your gardens, sheds, or any outbuildings in case she has sought shelter nearby.”
Family, friends, and the wider community have joined in the appeal, asking residents across Walsall and surrounding areas to remain vigilant and help spread the word.
