Crash Chaos on Newport Outskirts as Two Vehicles Collide
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
A two-vehicle collision slammed the junction of Blackwater Road and Ventor Road on Newport’s outskirts this afternoon. Hampshire police and Isle of Wight paramedics arrived just after 2pm on Friday to deal with the smash-up.
Multiple People Involved but No Serious Injuries
Several people were caught up in the crash, but thankfully no one is believed to be seriously hurt. Paramedics are currently checking over those involved at the scene.
Traffic Grind as Vehicles Shifted Aside
Both lanes approaching the crash site are moving slowly. The cars involved have been moved to the roadside to clear the way, but delays remain as emergency workers continue their checks.
