Manhunt after acid attack carried out in East 1
A man has been rushed to hospital after an “acid attack” on an East London high street. The 20-year-old victim had been robbed of his moped by a man in Mentmore Terrace at noon on Saturday A fight broke out during the robbing and the victim was at first threatened with a knife, before a noxious substance was thrown in his face. Metropolitan Police and paramedics were called to the scene near London Fields station in Hackney and he was rushed to an East London hospital A short while later, police found the stolen moped abandoned. No arrests have been made but enquiries continue.
