Person Critically Injured After Being Hit by Train at West Malling

A person has been airlifted to hospital this afternoon after being struck by a train that had just left West Malling Station.

Emergency Teams Rush to Scene

Basic doctors and air ambulance medics performed life-saving treatment at the side of the railway near the crossing at Macey’s Meadow on Norman Lane.

British Transport Police were called to the station at 12:45pm today (2nd December) after reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended the scene.

Incident Not Treated as Suspicious

The injured person was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Police have confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
