Gunshots and chaos erupt in Luton as cannabis raid sparks violent brawl
Armed fight and car chase rocks Hallwicks Road
In the early hours of 3 March 2021, police rushed to Hallwicks Road, Luton after reports of gunfire and a brutal brawl involving weapons. Several vehicles, including a blue Seat, a black Vauxhall Astra, and a silver Astra, were seen chasing and crashing into each other — even smashing into a local resident’s car amid the chaos.
Cannabis factory break-in sparks violent showdown
The violence broke out when a group tried to raid a nearby property doubling as a cannabis factory. Officers later found around 200 cannabis plants spread across four rooms inside the address. One man inside the property called on his criminal pals, who arrived armed with a firearm and other weapons, escalating the clash.
Three men jailed after weapons, drugs, and cash seized
Weeks after the mayhem, Edison Lilaj, Gezim Brahimaj, and Albiont Kucai were arrested following searches in Luton and Shefford. Authorities recovered the blue Seat used in the incident, two phones linked to the day’s events, two large bags of cannabis, nearly £20,000 in cash, and bank statements showing accounts holding about £42,000.
Luxury items were also seized, including a receipt for a watch valued over £2,000 and a water bill for the cannabis factory property.
