Woman Plucked from Waves Near Worthing Pier in Daring Rescue
Major Emergency Response Launched
A woman in her 30s was dramatically saved from the sea near Worthing Pier on Tuesday afternoon. The rescue swung into action at 1:03pm, triggering a full-scale emergency response.
The operation involved the Shoreham RNLI Inshore Lifeboat, the Solent-based Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 365, local Coastguard teams, Sussex Police, and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb).
Life-Saving Lifeboat Crew Pulls Woman to Safety
Sussex Police confirmed the brave lifeboat crew hauled the woman from the choppy waters. She was given immediate medical checks on scene before being rushed to hospital as a precaution.
