Wiltshire Police have arrested a man suspected of drink driving after a single-car smash in Melksham this morning.
BMW Crashes on Coronation Road
The chaos hit around 9.50am when a silver BMW careered off the road, smashing into roadside furniture on Coronation Road. The 35-year-old driver tried to make a run for it but was nabbed nearby.
Breathalyser Test Shows Driver Was Over Limit
Officers breathalysed the suspect who blew well over the legal alcohol limit. He was swiftly arrested for drink driving and driving without a proper licence.
Hospital Check & Police Probe
The man was taken to hospital as a precaution. Authorities will question him once he’s been medically cleared.
Coronation Road was closed temporarily while the wreckage was cleared and damage assessed. The road has now reopened.
