Reece Sinclair, 25, brutally attacked the officer by fashioning broken shards of porcelain into a sharp weapon. He struck the back of the officer’s head with terrifying speed and precision, causing devastating injuries.
Nottingham Crown Court heard that Sinclair admitted planning the attack because he “didn’t want to be messed with.”

Judge Slams ‘Horrific’ Assault
Sentencing Sinclair to 21 years behind bars, Judge Michael Auty KC condemned the attack as “horrific” and praised the officer’s survival despite the severe blow and blood loss.
“The speed and precision with which you moved was absolutely devastating,” the judge said.
