Detectives have named the man killed in a brutal Peckham stabbing and arrested more suspects in the case.
Aurelio Mejia Dies Outside Nightclub
Aurelio Mejia, 26, was stabbed outside a busy nightclub on Ruby Street in the early hours of Monday, 6 April. Police were called at 03:54am after reports of a disturbance involving a group of people. Paramedics and officers found Aurelio with fatal stab wounds. Despite their efforts, he died at the scene.
Multiple Arrests Made as Investigation Continues
- Two other men were injured during the attack: a 24-year-old, now arrested on suspicion of murder, and another man in his 20s who remains in life-threatening condition in the hospital.
- Four men, including one aged 18 and three aged 24, were arrested later the same day and remain in custody.
Police Appeal to Witnesses
“Our thoughts remain with Aurelio’s family, who have suffered a terrible loss,” said a Met spokesperson. “We are increasing police presence and urge anyone with information or footage from the night to come forward.”
