A 29-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after a car ploughed into pedestrians in central London at the crack of dawn on Sunday. The terrifying smash, outside a Soho nightclub, left one woman fighting for her life.

Gabrielle Carrington’s Alleged Drunk Driving Rampage

Gabrielle Carrington, from Manchester and formerly a member of X Factor group Miss Dynamix, stands accused of deliberately targeting Klaudia Zakrzewska, a social media influencer known as Klaudiaglam. The incident happened at 4:30am outside the Inca nightclub on Argyll Street. Court heard Carrington drove her Mercedes dangerously while almost twice over the drink-drive limit. Besides Zakrzewska, two others were hurt: a third woman and a security guard, Anoush Chyche, who now faces life-changing injuries.

Melee On The Streets of Soho

Prosecutor Rizwan Amin outlined a chaotic scene. “There were lots of people shouting, a melee,” he said. CCTV footage showed an altercation erupting as Carrington exited her car, involving nightclub staff and passersby. Security staff tried to break up the dispute, but Carrington got back in her car, which then lurched forward, mounting the pavement and striking Zakrzewska. She was dragged under the vehicle and pinned between it and a bike rack. At that moment, the car also hit the security guard and a woman named Latisha Armstrong, who suffered a fractured wrist.

Carrington Remanded Ahead of Old Bailey Trial

In Westminster Magistrates’ Court, Carrington stood defiant with hands on hips before being remanded in custody. She made a heart sign to supporters in the gallery as she was led away. The court was told she did not enter a plea. Her next hearing is at the Old Bailey on May 19. Met Police confirmed Zakrzewska remains in life-threatening condition. Carrington was found with 61 microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of breath—nearly double the legal limit. Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor David Malone warned against online speculation, urging respect for a fair trial. Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell appealed to witnesses for any information, no matter how minor.

“The information you have — however minor you believe it may be — could be of crucial importance to investigators.”
