A 42-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Michael Bennett, who died after being found unconscious in Erdington. Michael was discovered on Reservoir Road shortly before 1am on Friday 27 March and later died in hospital on 10 April. West Midlands Police’s Major Crime Unit led the investigation.

Suspect Arrested In Birmingham

Kevin Siviter, from Birmingham, was arrested by police and charged with murder. He is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Ongoing Police Appeal

Detective Inspector Michelle Cordell confirmed that inquiries are continuing. Police are appealing for witnesses who were in the Reservoir Road area between 9.30pm on 26 March and 12.55am on 27 March to come forward with any information.
