Welling Arson Attack Sparks Police Hunt for Witnesses

Police are on the case after a suspected arson blaze tore through South Gipsy Road, Welling, late Wednesday night. The London Fire Brigade was called at around 11:06pm on 15 July, with officers arriving alongside firefighters to tackle the flames.

Fire Out by 12:30am – No Injuries Reported

The fire was brought under control by 12:30am. Luckily, no one was hurt, but the cause is being treated as deliberate arson. So far, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Detective Urges Public to Help, Avoid Own Sleuthing

“My team have been working around the clock to get to the bottom of this,” said Detective Sergeant Danny Banks from the Serious and Complex Investigations Unit. “We thank those who have come forward, but please pass all information directly to us. Refrain from doing your own investigations.”
