Park Hill School in Ilford, IG5, was plunged into lockdown on Friday afternoon after a knifeman jumped over the school fence and ran into the playground. Panic ensued as staff rushed to secure the premises.

Armed Police Step In

Met Police officers were quick to respond. Armed cops detained the suspect swiftly, preventing any injuries. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the tense incident, which was caught on camera.

Incident Details and Arrest

A Met Police spokesman revealed the timeline: “Police were called at 2.40pm on Friday, 3 February, after reports of a man wielding a knife and an assault on Lord Avenue, Ilford.”

One man was treated on the scene by London Ambulance Service after being bitten on the finger. The police arrested a man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and cannabis possession.
