Air Ambulance Scrambles After Cliff Fall in Ramsgate
The Kent Surrey and Sussex air ambulance swooped into Ramsgate on Friday afternoon following shocking reports of a person plunging from the cliffs near Westcliff Promenade.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
The air ambulance was called at around 4:30pm and touched down at the Government Acre site. Alongside it, multiple HART vehicles and two road ambulances raced to the scene.
Kent Police officers are providing vital support to paramedics and have sealed off the area with a cordon, as this is being treated as a serious incident.
Dramatic CPR Efforts Amid Cliffside Chaos
Eyewitnesses report paramedics performing lifesaving CPR near a set of steps by the cliffs.
A bystander said: “I saw paramedics desperately trying to resuscitate the person on the steps close to the cliff edge.”
A Kent Police spokesman confirmed: “We were called at about 4:35pm to assist with a medical incident on Royal Esplanade. Officers are helping where needed, and the air ambulance is also believed to be at the scene.”
