Tragic Crash in St Leonards Claims Life of Biker

A fatal collision between a motorbike and a camper van has shaken St Leonards. Sussex Police are urgently hunting witnesses after the deadly crash on Monday, 16 February.

Horror Smash on Blackman Avenue

The deadly crash happened around 1:50pm near the junction with Larkfield Close. Emergency crews raced to Blackman Avenue after reports of the smash between the camper van and motorbike.

Paramedics fought to save the motorbike rider at the scene but he tragically died. His next of kin have been informed. Police have expressed heartfelt condolences to the grieving family.

Camper Van Driver Arrested and Released on Bail

A 73-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail as police continue their probe.

Police Plea: Witnesses and Footage Needed

Officers are calling on anyone near the scene or who spotted the camper van before the crash to come forward. They’re especially keen on dashcam, CCTV, or mobile footage that could crack the case.
