Man dies after sudden medical emergency in Lewisham at 2am

Tragic Incident on Brownhill Road

A man has died in hospital following a medical emergency in Lewisham during the early hours of Wednesday, April 2. Police and paramedics rushed to Brownhill Road, near Bowness Road, at around 2am after reports of a man in distress.

Despite the swift response from Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service, the man was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital.

Police Confirm Unexpected Death

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:

“At around 02:00hrs on Wednesday, 2 April, police and the London Ambulance Service were called to Brownhill Road SE6 to reports of a man suffering a medical emergency.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man was later pronounced dead at hospital.

The death is being treated as unexpected at this stage, and enquiries continue.”

The cause of the man’s death remains under investigation as officers work to piece together the full story. Locals reported a heavy emergency service presence in the area early Wednesday morning, sparking concern among residents.

Police urge anyone with information about the incident to call 101 quoting the reference date April 2.
