Knife Fight Erupts on Garratt Lane
Police officers patrolling Wandsworth stumbled on a brutal fight between several males on Garratt Lane at 4:58pm on Thursday, 29 October.
Two 15-year-old boys were found with knife wounds near the Garratt Lane Burial Ground. Both were rushed to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.
One Teen Dies, Another Injured
Tragically, one boy later died in hospital. His next of kin have been informed, though formal ID is still pending. A post-mortem will follow.
The second boy suffered injuries that are not life-threatening and remains in hospital.
Two Men Arrested After Knife Attack
- A man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He had a minor head injury but did not need hospital treatment.
- A second man was arrested for affray. Both are now in police custody.
Specialist Crime detectives are investigating. Wandsworth remains on high alert with a Section 60 Order in place from 5:58pm, allowing police to stop and search anyone in the area.
