WWII Ammo Found in Newport Pagnell Sparks Bomb Squad Alert

Police and the Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team are currently dealing with a potential bomb scare in Newport Pagnell.

The emergency services were called to Chartwell Road at 1.45pm today after a stash of ammunition, believed to date back to World War Two, was found at a local property.

EOD experts are on-site working to make the dangerous ammo safe. A controlled explosion is expected in a nearby field shortly.

Residents Moved to Safety – Police Urge Caution

Some nearby residents have been evacuated as a precaution while the operation is ongoing. Police have urged the public to avoid the area for now.
