Woman Seriously Injured in Lorry Crash on Cambridge Heath Road
A routine police patrol was called to a crash at 2:49pm on Friday, 23 October, where a lorry collided with a cyclist at the busy junction of Cambridge Heath Road and Hackney Road.
Cyclist Hospitalised but Stable
Emergency crews, including the London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. The 23-year-old female cyclist was taken to an East London hospital with serious injuries. Thankfully, her condition is stable and her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Lorry Driver Stops, No Arrests Made
The lorry driver stopped immediately and is cooperating with police. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
Police Seek Dashcam Witnesses
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are probing the incident. They urge anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward.
