The Newark and Sherwood Operation Reacher team stormed a property on Kirklington Road, Rainworth, seizing a huge stash of cannabis during a planned early morning raid on Friday, 14 April.
Suspect Caught Red-Handed in Bed
Police, acting on solid intelligence about drug dealing from the address, entered the house at around 8am. They found the 27-year-old suspect still asleep in bed before launching a thorough search.
Thousands in Drugs, Cash, and Paraphernalia Confiscated
- Large amounts of cannabis individually bagged for sale
- Pots of cannabis resin
- Cash and multiple mobile phones
- Weighing scales and drug paraphernalia
All were recovered from the property, dealing a blow to local drug trafficking.
Police Praise the Impact of Raids
“After receiving intelligence that drugs were being dealt from this address, we moved in and arrested a suspect,” said PC Chris Ball from Operation Reacher.
“These operations are vital for cracking down on criminal activity and confirming reports. Taking this gear off the streets means fewer drugs on our community’s doorsteps.”
