Heart-Stopping Rescue Off Worthing as Lifeboat Crews Save Man from Drowning
Shoreham’s brave volunteer lifeboat crews sprang into action Wednesday night after a man was spotted struggling in the waters near Worthing. The inshore lifeboat launched at full speed, with the all-weather lifeboat, Shoreham and Littlehampton coastguard teams, plus the Coastguard Rescue 175 helicopter, all scrambling to the scene.
High-Stakes Search and Rescue Near Splash Point
The all-weather lifeboat’s searchlight soon spotted the man roughly 300 metres south of Splash Point. The inshore lifeboat raced over and plucked the victim from the choppy sea. He was quickly handed over to paramedics and police waiting anxiously on the shore.
