Two Young Children Believed Dead in Gloucester Boxing Day House Fire
Tragedy struck in Stroud when a house fire tore through a home on Brimscombe Hill in the early hours of Boxing Day. Gloucester Police have confirmed the heartbreaking recovery of two children, aged four and seven, who are believed to have perished in the blaze.
Desperate Rescue Attempts Amid Horrific Early Morning Blaze
The fire broke out around 3am last Friday. A man and woman were jolted awake by the flames and fought desperately to save their children trapped in the rear bedroom. Sadly, both youngsters are thought to have died in the fire.
On Sunday, the body of a woman in her late 30s was also recovered from the property. The family dog has since been removed from the scene.
Emergency Services Praise and Ongoing Investigation
Authorities are working to secure the building to allow Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service to continue investigating the cause of the blaze.
