Police and paramedics raced to High Holborn in the early hours of Sunday after a brutal stabbing spree left multiple victims critically injured.

Violent Clash on Red Lion Street

The savage attack unfolded near Gray’s Inn Road on Red Lion Street just after 3am. A large police cordon seals off the area as investigators comb the scene. Traffic and bus diversions are now in place, with drivers urged to find alternative routes.

Two Men Hospitalised, One in Life-Threatening Condition

  • At 3:15am, London Ambulance Service alerted police that two men had arrived at a south London hospital with stab wounds.
  • A 34-year-old man is in life-threatening condition.
  • The other, aged 27, is stable and expected to recover.
  • Both are thought to have been injured in a fight on High Holborn, with the area taped off as a crime scene.

Separate Stabbing Linked to Same Brawl

Just 15 minutes later, officers found a car on Clerkenwell Road with hazard lights flashing. Inside were two 25-year-old men, also stabbed.

  • Officers rendered first aid before medics arrived.
  • One man was discharged and arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH); he remains in custody.
  • The other is in hospital in a critical state.

Police believe these incidents are connected and stem from the same violent confrontation on High Holborn. The probe is ongoing.
