Police on edge after woman tries to lure kids at popular Northampton play park.
Woman Offers Chewing Gum, Then Invites Children Home
The disturbing incident took place last month at Spring Boroughs’ pocket park in Northampton.
Northamptonshire Police reveal the woman first dangled chewing gum to three children playing in the park. After one child took it, she stroked his back and invited him back to her home for a hot drink.
The children quickly fled, raising the alarm to nearby adults.
Suspect Description Revealed
- White woman, late 50s
- Slim build with medium-length grey hair
- Wearing a pink hooded top with a doughnut pattern
Police Hunt Witnesses to Incident
“Witnesses are being sought after a woman approached children, offering chewing gum, then stroking a child’s back and inviting him home for a hot drink. The children then ran off.”
Police asked: “Were you in Spring Boroughs pocket park on Tuesday, September 30, between 4.30pm and 5pm?”
