Rush-Hour Horror as Car Smashes Into Family Home in Basingstoke
A family’s morning turned to chaos when a Renault Clio careered off the road and crashed straight through their front door. The smash-up happened at around 7:55am on Belle Vue Road during the busy rush hour.

Inside the house, a middle-aged mum and her young son were trapped as the car smashed into the hallway. Two fire crews from Basingstoke and Hartley Wintney rushed to the scene. They helped the terrified family escape and had to cut a 60-year-old man free from the wrecked car.
Driver Suffered “Medical Event”
South Central Ambulance Service said the male driver likely had a “medical event” which caused him to veer off the road and crash. He was taken to Basingstoke Hospital with injuries described as “non life-threatening.” No injuries have been reported for the family inside the house.
