Paedophile Aaron Kendall Jailed for 15 Years in Shrewsbury
Aaron Kendall, from Lightmoor’s Furlong Green, was slammed with a 15-year prison sentence on Friday at Shrewsbury Crown Court. The vile predator was found guilty of 15 counts of horrific sexual offences against a girl under 13, including assault, penetration, and rape. Kendall had pleaded guilty back in October 2023.
Gruesome Charges Spanning Five Years
The charges against Kendall are sickening:
- Four counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by touching
- Three counts of penetration using body parts or objects
- Three counts of raping a girl under 13
- Five counts of engaging in sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15 while over 18
The offences took place between 2018 and 2023.
Swift Arrest Following Brave Victim’s Report
Kendall was arrested just 20 minutes after the victim came forward to police. Detective Constable Izzy Broxton described the case as “harrowing,” highlighting the lifelong trauma inflicted on the child.
“No sentence can ever fully deliver justice for the survivor and their family,” said DC Broxton. “But we commend their bravery and determination throughout this investigation.”
Long-Term Orders and Police Appeal
Alongside his jail time, Kendall faces a 20-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a restraining order banning him from contacting the victim. He will also stay on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
