Knife and Pool Cue Chaos at Penhill Petrol Station
Police hunt man linked to violent fracas at Penhill’s BP station last month. Officers were called to Cricklade Road on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 16, after reports of a man wielding a knife and a teenager brandishing a metal pole – which later turned out to be a pool cue.
Quick Response: Suspects Busted After Dramatic Stop
Thankfully, no one was hurt during the scary stand-off. One suspect fled in a grey Audi A4 but was quickly nabbed by officers in Marlborough alongside the driver when their vehicle was stopped.
Five Arrested, One Still Wanted
- A 30-year-old man from Royal Wootton Bassett faces charges of affray.
- A 16-year-old boy from Amesbury arrested for affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
- An 18-year-old man from Penhill was caught after a house search, charged with affray and encouraging crime.
- Two more men, aged 19 and 20, also arrested. The 20-year-old is out on bail, the others remain under investigation.
