Brutal Gang Attack in City Leaves Man Seriously Injured

Seven men—Akash Kumar, Macauley Smith, Riley Kavanagh, Thomas Jackson, Lewis Friel, Liam Askew, and Connor Moore—were involved in a savage assault in March 2019 that has left a victim with life-changing injuries.

Night Out Turns Nightmare

In the early hours, the victim and his friend were walking home after a night out when the group approached, hurling comments. When the victim responded, Thomas Jackson shoved him to the ground.

Surrounded, the man was mercilessly punched, kicked, and stamped on. His friend tried to protect him but was pushed down by Riley Kavanagh, who then joined in the attack.

Life-Altering Injuries

The victim was left unconscious with a broken nose and cheekbone, severe bruising, nerve damage, and blurred vision. The gang fled the scene but were later caught thanks to a CCTV appeal.

The victim has had to endure this for four years but now has finally got justice. We hope he finally has closure and can move forward with his life.”
